Langkawi Trip 5-7 Aug 2009
Hey all, I'm back from my Langkawi trip!! It was an an enjoyable and relax trip. Though it was a 3D2N short trip but I feel that I have been staying there for weeks cos the life there are simply too relax, haha!! I have colleages some pictures for this 3D2N trip. We met up at Budget Terminal. While waiting for our flight: Tiger Airways (TR472), we had Macdonald for our "Brunch" and took some photos =)
Finally reached our destination LANGKAWI! We checked in to our Hotel: Bayview Hotel, which was located at Kuah, Central area of Langkawi. After that we took a cab down (Cab fare cost RM6) to Langkawi Fair, the biggest shopping centre in Langkawi. We shopped awhile in the shopping centre and walked down to the Jetty, where we were able to see this BIG EAGLE (known as Eagle Square). While walking along the way, we saw another tourist sight, which was this Legenda Langkawi. Nothing special, just a few pieces of rock with the Langkawi map engraved on it. We took some pictures and walked back to the Langkawi fair and took a cab back to our hotel again. Had a tired Day 1.
Intially we intended to book a 1 day tour excursion for our snorkeling trip to Pulau Paya beach, so we checked out the rate at the hotel business centre. Each person cost RM250 (internat rate is cheaper at RM 200). So we checked with the person whether is there any nearest beach that we can go and enjoy ourself. He recommeneded us to Pantai Cenang Beach. So after much discussion and consideration, we decided to go to Cenang Beach which was only 25 mins drive from our hotel (Cab Fare cost RM24). Finally reached the beach, the weather was very sunny and it was good for sun tanning. So we relaxed and had an enjoyable time at the beach. After that we took a cab back to our hotel again.
After a thorough clean up at our hotel room, Me and Ling decided to go for our SPA session at Alun Alun Spa, which was located at level 3 of our hotel. I had read the comments from forum that this spa is quite famous in Langkawi. Intially Yen intended to dye her hair as well, but the SPA reception told us that she has to book an appointment 1 day earlier so that the hair dresser will come down to do the hair for her. End up Yen can't do her hair and she was also not keen in doing the SPA with us. So she decided to go back to the hotel room to wait for us. I chose the Detoxification body scrub and Ling chose the Refreshing/After Sun tann body Scrub. The spa session was wonderful and I really felt so relax after doing it. You all should give it a try if you visit Bayview Hotel.
Langkawi has no special food. It was just the same as in Singapore. So these 2 days we mostly have " Zi Cha" and those western food for our meal. Anyway the food taste still not bad.
On the last day, we did nothing much, just had our breakfast and went back to our room to rot before checked out and headed to airport to take our flight back to Singapore.
